A hearty welcome to the world of R65's!  And while you remain the ultimate judge whether it will be a 'smart' trade, you have chosen a worthy model as your next ride.  Can you provide the specifics of your new R65? - year, color, mileage, and any photos?

And likewise, what were the particulars of why you traded your 'beloved' Triumph for a R65?  What year, model and condition of Triumph were you riding?

Keep us informed!

best,

Join the herd, MAHOO.

How about some info on your new-to-you R65 Airhead? Photos are pretty much mandatory or else we'll track you down and... ;D

I would guess it is kinda like leaving one girlfriend for another. But I will not elaborate on my thinking. Welcome and post some pictures of your ex and your current ride. [smiley=bmw_smiley.gif] Dave2

I wouldn't trade my Triumph ('70 Bonneville) for one, but I like having both.

Understandable given a 70 Bonnie would trade for maybe 3 or more R65's

All, Happy Holidays! I was gone, but I'm back now....on a bit of a learning curve with the computer stuff.....I hope the pic comes through O.K. (I wear the hat to hide the grey hair).
Note the gray skies in the background of the pic:this was the last day before I put my new- -to- me beema away (is it fey to say beema? Is it like calling San Francisco, FRISCO?)
anyway, the R65 seems like a good fit...it seems like the nicest people drive them.

Ah, flat top Bings with the way cool, aluminum air box. Must be either a '78 or '79? Your vintage jacket works well, too.
