My 79 and a ship, in Dover harbour (UK). The ship is a French car ferry just arriving from Calais across the Channel.

Have you had the chance to tour France on your R65?

:^)

Not yet but I have done on loads of other bikes starting around 1962 with my old BSA A10. I'll probably take the R65 over for lunch in France (!) come September when you can get a cheapo day round-trip ticket. Being here is great I'm 10 minutes from the tunnel terminal and about 30 minutes from the ferry terminal (photo). Tunnel is a bit quicker but a bit more expensive. Both get big loading and waiting times tho, because of wait for it, passports and security, security, x rays, searches etc. Sad world!

Thanks. Here's a photo of the Givi screen in place, cut back on the sides (mostly with a Dremel) to fit inside the two little pods. I suspect that it would have needed cutting back even without the pods, to allow access to the trip meter zero. It makes a very useful place to park a road map etc but I don't notice any difference to the wind.

Love your paint, I like red w/gold stripes!

How did you get stuck with a US left control pod?  Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the Feds over here were the only jerks that figured we were too stupid to turn on the headlight...  >:(

The yellow left-hand switch is just high/low beam. And flash. Lights on and off is an extra position on the ignition switch. But it looks as if our law is heading towards headlights always on, for everyone not just motorcycles. Health-and-safety, again. Personally I turn on the headlight in dull weather but i can't see much point when the sun shines.

Justin you had me thinking there .... mine is the same the master light switch is on the ignition key, Constellation if your going to France dont forget your HiVis gear..... so the cops can see you coming.
