George O's Restaurant & Bar has been an institution in Waco, Texas since 1930. Country n' Western singer Pat Green, a Waco native, even has a tune on one of his albums entitled, "George's Bar."
The favored beverage -named the "Big O"- is a 24 ounce goblet filled with your favorite draft. Killer hamburgers are worth the 125 mile drive, so that's what we did today.
Just across the Interstate is The Euro Shop; a very friendly Triumph, Ducati, Victory, vintage and race bike dealer. You know we had to stop in before meeting our eldest son and his SO for lunch at George's. They live in Austin so if the old man, that be me, is paying, they're in the mix.
Traffic on the Interstate was pretty intense both ways. Don't these people have jobs they should be at? Jeez [smiley=thumbdown.gif]
Some retina bacon for you guys...

The soft economy hits everyone, including bike shops. Many dealers in my orbit are now open on the traditionally closed Mondays. Euro Shop is no exception. You can't sell if the doors are locked. Really cool shop indoors and out. It's in Texas, y'all.

A Hinckley Bonneville with a side car! Scotty, you seeing this? Check the Triumph tank badge affixed to the nose of the chair. Nicely built it is.

Vintage Gilera fronts a classic Honda Super Hawk. At the end of this row was a 1965 Bonneville with a 'sold" tag on the bars. Perfect patina with the original paint.

This lovely Moto Guzzi is included for Bengt Phorqs. Even though he knows I'm, "not the Guzzi type." ::)

Nice post there, Mongo. I never realized it was there in Waco. We usually turn off before the river and head to College Station but next time we're heading that way it's on the list. Thanks for including the Guzzi. Pretty bike.
And Lou, you know you still have an open invitation if you are in the area.

Isn't it a shame that we are programmed to do anything for our children? 'Specially the daughters!
My baby with her 1/2 brother:

Gotta hand it to my eldest son. He's a school teacher. He and his fiance had their paperwork in order so, during his lunch break at school, he and his lady stopped by the local JP and got married.
Ca-Ching! Score a big $$$ savings for the parents. [smiley=dankk2.gif]

It may be a sidecar for SFC Zach if he keeps this up.
On Tuesday, Zach jumped from a CH-53 into what he called, "the softest DZ I've ever been into." This is the result. I personally don't know if anything's broken but his boot doesn't fit right now.
Told him I knew of a few ways to score a little bit of limited duty other than crankin' your foot.
