Title: Back on the road
Post by: John M on April 16, 2011, 12:37:05 PM
What a relief, after a winter teardown   (Heads, pistons ,rings, rear main seal, clutch, carb rebuild, and renew brakes front and rear) today in the rain was the restart of the engine and a short ride to make sure everything is good. She has a lot more bite when I roll on the throttle and I am hoping for good weather next friday to trailer out of town to do a proper break-in ride . It has been hard watching all the other bikes hit the road this spring while I was waiting for my last order from Motobins.

Freezing here today John and all white with last night's new snow which has gotta be the last! Too cold to even be in the bike shed....err...Brrrm Closet! Things I have never done on Little Red Baron (LRB) is rebuild carbs nor have I tackled the calipers. You will be a handy guy to know so close! Hope we get a chance to ride next week but I am not too hopeful :'(

Long range forcast for friday is looking good. I didn'tdo anything other than replace the pads and refresh the brake fluid on the front disc.

It is going to get warmer --- isn't it?   John
