On the '81 R65, I've got collector vehicle insurance, cost last renewal in April, 2009, was $135US .

Technically can't be ridden to work, but I only ride it to work, on weekends and holidays .

Agreed upon value, of $5500US in case of total loss, or theft (not very likely!!!)

The collector insurance, and historic vehicle license plate (minimum of 25 years from year of manufacture), negates the requirement of exhaust emissions testing, as part of the yearly registration renewal process .

Emissions test cost more than the normal registration cost for a year .

I think I'm paying around £110 for two bikes - agreed value on the R90S (£6,000) and market value on the LS (which I'll be upgrading to agreed value). That's with Footman James.

I'm right around $400/year (total) for my R65LS and my Kawasaki Concours.   No limits/no antique/collector plates..   IT would be less if I were living back in Vermont, but New Hampshire insurance rates are heavily influenced by our proximity to Massachusetts and all their drivers... ::)

£137 a year, that's about $150 I think, for comprehensive (all risks) insurance but not specially high agreed value, for three bikes, my 1979 R 65, my 1968 BSA B 44 and my little LML 125 scooter. That's with Aviva (ex Norwich Union). No mileage or other restrictions.

That'd a good price Lou. I pay £60 something for 2000 miles with no agreed value and no recovery.

Even though Airheads don't break down its got to be worth having recover in the event of a puncture.
