Danielmc on the BM Bikes & BM Riders Club Forum provides this insight. I always knew our bikes of all airheads didn't deserve the derogatory version.
The term Gummikuh (rubber cow), originally ascribed by the motoring journalist Ernst Leverkus to the earles-forked aircooled BMW twins, referred to those machines' habits of rocking between their soft front and rear suspension and the rising of the rear-end under power: cows stand up rear-end first. In Germany modern BMWs are still referred to occasionally (and affectionately) as Kuh whilst the smaller 'bikes can be referred to as Kälbchen or calves.
Calling them cows was not meant by Leverkus to imply they possessed evil or dangerous handling, and similarly the modern German usage is not derogatory.

I use to ride bulls in texas in the early 80's, its like being a passenger on a bike in a motorcross race holding on with one hand and holding on to you hat with the other. Kind of Fun. Seems like we use to ride in a bar in San Antonio. But drinking and riding was a bad mix.

They had one of those electric bulls at Gilley's in Pasadena, too. Although I've only seen hats on heads and a cowboy's empty hand in the air to avoid loss of points by contact with the bull.

Here in Texas, wannabe bull riders fill their mouth with marbles. Each time they attempt a ride, they spit out one marble. When you've lost all your marbles, you're a bull rider.

I know we went to Gilley's but all I remember was that it was big. I must have gotten all the partying out of my system in texas. all I remember about texas is they party hard. Haven't seen it like that since.
