Monte clued me in on this so Barbi and I will head up there for a few hours in the morning if it's not storming. I have to be back here by 14:00 to let a potential buyer look at the RT...

Mrs. Phorqs didn't make it but it was good to finally put faces to names when Monte, Justin, and Barbi showed up. That was a really great way to spend a Saturday morning at the Nextel Cup garage at Texas Motor Speedway. There were probably 30 or so Beemers present with probably about 1/4th of them airheads. While I was coming through the tunnel to the infield garage area there was a NASCAR training session going on overhead. The thunder of those cars was just amazing. I was suitably impressed and I'm not a NASCAR fan by any stretch. (Maybe if they have a halftime during the race and then start running clockwise we might learn who the best driver is and not who has the best car? Now that would be interesting!)
We spent a couple of hours kicking tires and bench racing. So thanks to Brad Gillie and the TMS for opening this up to the folks in the Fort Worth/Denton/Crowley/Dallas area. And Monte, thanks for the brewski's.

I love tech days. I went to one in Salem on Saturday. The host isn't even in the Airheads, but had been to one of our tech days and decided HE wanted to have one. He has two old Harleys, nice bikes.

My Tech Daze at TMS pics are in the Ride Reports section... Monte

I spoke briefly with Brad and I got the definite impression that he wants to hold several of these throughout the year and mentioned November as a possibility in the fall.

So, it was a Tech Day, did you learn anything about motorcycles, or anything else ?
Or was it more of a B.S. session ?
-
Oh it was definitely a learning experience although don't ask for specifics. Being intuitive by nature I tend to process through watching then doing. Just being around some of these very experienced riders, our own Justin and Monte included, is a great learning experience. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy some of Monte's barley laden BS (let's call that Bike Smarts).
