A new tool/best friend! :D

I have to wear it for 30 minutes at a time, for 4-6 times a day.
It hurts like hell after the first 15 minutes, but after the first session, I can already tell the difference in flexibility!
A CT scan of the middle bone that did not come together:

Just looking it that contraption reminds me of how sore it made my finger when I used to "exercise" it by bending it back and forth. But, it worked and after a couple of years it was completely usable.

OW, OW, OW!
Ten months ago my son cleanly broke three bones in his left hand playing "Ultimate" frisbee. X-ray showed the breaks like some one had taken a meat cleaver to his hand. After something like four months of recovery he was back playing frisbee on his Ultimate team. It's never gotten back to 100%, but "at least 95%".
Keep the faith, Rob. We're pulling for you.
Best,
Ed

Like alot of physical therapy devices - it looks a bit like a medieval torture device!
But, I am sure that it helps, and will make things much better for you in the future.
I will grit my teeth for you - hang in there !

I actually had the "pleasure" of carrying in a can of Pepsi to the computer room in my left hand. It felt good, in control, more curve than yesterday!
yeah, I said something about "if the Spanish Inquisition had today's technology...". They did their best to pretend they enjoyed my joke! ;D

The finger does look odd alright but the therapy albeit painful will help ya so the two of us can be up and running by Spring, Rob! I have had my last therapy session. I could get more but the exercises I have learned should hold me in good stead all the rest of my life. This snow shovelling is getting a bit much. I like some exercise but this is ridiculous. I think that I told you guys that healing for us older casualties is sorta slow. I just started to make bone on the clavicle break as of last month and at that it was just starting to form!!! Yeesh! I am being pretty careful about NOT falling on ice you can be sure!!
Go Rob GO! I am so behind you!
