Now it has begun, my painter - I decided that doing that kind of work in a non heated shed at temp below 50 F would be a bad idea, so I have contracted with a neighbor's college's ex- husband, who is a lorry painter to paint the fairing and other painted parts - has picked up the upper part of the fairing and will hopefully return it next week.
I have found a set of RS brake hoses on E-bay and hope to win the bidding in the week to come. The new progressive springs for the front are in the post and will arrive in the coming week as well and then it is time for the creation of a R65 RS.
I will keep you posted.
greetings from a north with clear skies and intermittent showers.

Go for it Trolle. Feel free to message me if you want to share details of any probs/etc. Especially brake hoses and instrument mountings which needed some modification. incidentally, I was able to get a full set of stainless braided hoses made to my specs from Earls Performance for about 50 euros.

Moto-Bins has excellent prices on steel braided lines. Actually a little less than US dealers want for the stock rubber ones!

thank you, both
I'll return at the end of the week with new tidings.
greetings from a grey and cold north with intermittent sunrays, dry and driveable roads.
