The "Junkyard LS" came a step closer to being a motorcycle today as I snagged a pair of Hagons off e-Bay for it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320299284999
The stock rear shocks actuating rod was rusty and extremely (and deeply) pitted. I have my head gaskets and other top-end stuff and will snatch the jugs later and inspect/try to unstick rings. If that is all a go then it will just be a matter of general cleanup and a quick repaint. I have enough of the Candy Red left to do a Red Smoke job on it, if I can talk Barbi into it. It would probably be a lot easier if Joan hadn't nudged her in the "Hot-Pink" direction. ::) Sometimes I can't win...

HOT PINK?!? :o [smiley=puke2.gif] Sorry, but all women don't like hot pink!. :-?
The Red Smoke sounds like a really nice color to me. ;) But then, I like just plain BLACK with maybe some red and white pin stripes on an airhead. :)
I'm amazed that you have enough time to get all that work done. Sounds like it's coming right along.

I work on it in spurts with long periods between spurts and waiting on the right "deal" on needed parts... I'm hoping that my leg is really being pulled about the color, though... :P

So, Justin, you got my shocks!
Lucky for you I neglected to check on the auction, otherwise I'd have cost you some money.

I'm usually the one that forgets! ;) Sorry about beating you out of them but I have been needing a pair for the project since I got it. Even worn out stockers would be better than what's on there! But, I think the bid I got them for was the max I was going to pay, that's the hard part of this resto - being patient and not paying any more than a set amount for needed parts. I've been a year and a half trying to snag shocks... :P
