Someone was asking about repairing the rubber R65 instrument cluster housing and pad. The Austin, Texas breaker has one on eBay.

That was me Monte. I'm keeping an eye on this, but my experience on ebay has been that stuff (that I have bid on at least) has sold at or near the cost of a new part from Max or Chicago. That one you linked to is a definite maybe if the price doesn't sail out of sight. Not perfect but servicible. (Same could be said of me I spose.)
I'm keeping your aluminum band/abs rivet fix in mind if I don't break down and replace it. Mine's pretty far gone though - split through on both sides at the speedo and tach. Could be a good winter project when the good riding days are few. Thanks for posting that ad!
