Hi Guys,
I need your advise on a three-season suit. It must also be able to handle the rain and be a one piece.
By three season I mean Spring Summer Fall. To make it four season I would add my own Gerbings!!!!

Take a look at Tourmaster, Nelson Rigg, and Fieldsheer, maybe Teknic too, unless you're looking to spend Aerostitch $$$.
I'm real partial to gear from the 1st two myself, and both have excellent websites...

i have 3 tourmaster sets. coats and pants, i love them. they have removable liners for when its cold, plenty of vents, water proof, and has reflective dots and stripes so others see me at night. they zip together so the coats dont ride up.
they where about $250 for the set, but the shop owner did give me a great price.

I have been giving serious consideration to the new First Gear TPG Ranier for a fall/winter/spring three season jacket. Only problem is they are on back order until mid-March. At that point I almost should just wait until fall. My 7 year old Joe Rocket is about shot. My summer jacket is a Joe Rocket mesh. I carry a waterproof liner as well as a quilted liner, that allows me to layer. That combination is good down to perhaps 50 degrees, even lower for short rides.

I have no experience with Olympia Moto Sports ONE piece suit but if it's as good as the jacket, I'd give it a look see. Jacket is very waterproof on it's own without need to insert a liner and the venting was good enough for me all through last summers southwestern trip. $449.00 I think. Looks like a flying suit..cool!

To me, 3 season would also be fall, winter, and spring, if we had those in Western Oregon. Instead we have wet and dry seasons. I am getting tired of the gearing up thing, and think a one piece would be nice, since I never ride without the pants anyway. I would sure prefer to try something like that on first before buying.

Check out the local dealers for a sizing / try on. Dealers here have lots of em in stock. I did a search a while back for protective gear & found a site that tailor makes gear. They do a lot of work for police bikers & military. Sorry I don't have a link. But they use kevlar material that I believe they engineered.

with their kevlar air-mesh equipment?
I bought the pants. They look and feel VERY durable.
They are quite bulky, though.
When I added the rain liners ($100), I could not ride with them at all. I put about 5 hours on them on one ride last fall, and felt claustrophobic, which I never do...
I asked about a refund, and they refused.
While the kevlar is probably about the best thing going for summertime protection, it has really impacted my enjoyment of the sport. It is frustrating.

Aerostich. Expensive but reasonable used. I dont have one ( I ride in an old BMW one piece, very nice kit as well) but my girlfriend does and she loves it. pretty hard to beat for fast on and off. If you ride for a long time in heavy rain they do start to leak around the leg zippers, but not too bad. Apparently the two piece versions leak less then the one piece. I tried the olympia one piece on on the store the other day and was very impressed. About the same price as a used aerostich and looked like it would be totally waterproof. A little slower to put on then the stich but still a quick on and off over clothes.
