I was scanning the IBA finished riders list and for R65's and came across this in the Saddle Sore 1000 mile list:

Joan Marie        Seattle, WA           08/17/02  BMW R65            1,039

OMG! That was SUCH a fun ride! Wasn't difficult, either. I'd do it again in a youtube minute when it's warmer out and the days are longer.

If anyone is thinking of an SS1K, VERY doable on your R65 without auxiliary fuel.  ;D
