A used R65LS fairing sold for $177 after bidding war between two ebay bidders.
The same fairing is still available new from BMW in factory Henna Red paint for $175.20 from various internet parts sources.

Yeah, it get down-right goofy sometimes and the next day something will sell for just a fraction of what it's worth. I have stopped trying to figure it out...

:-? Some of us have pretty deep pockets! Unfortunately I'm not one of them :(...euro market is worse on ebay...absolutely rediculous bids, Thanks to Justin I saved $ on brakes. Congrats on your sale!!!!

Strangest one I've seen just recently was a used Bing carburettor manual with an initial price of 0.99c. I was going to bid, and maxed mine at US$3.00. It finished the auction with somebody paying US$49.00 + postage.
I ordered a brand new one with the latest price list from Bing shortly after for US$9.95 + post. All up was less than AU$20 to my door!! Really pays to do your homework before bidding.
I've sold a couple of things for unreal prices, when I would have been happy to just get my starting price. I won't rip anyone off, either in description of the item, or asking price, but if they want to pay me over and above for the item I for one won't stop them!!
