Title: New Toy
Post by: Lowen on March 02, 2007, 06:38:40 AM
Just got a 74 R90 with a side car to go with it! I'll post some before and after pics once I get it settled in my garage.

You lucky dog!!!!! I'd almost give up my first born son for a deal like that!   [smiley=laugh.gif]

Hope you plan to document the restoration project with lots of photos so we can enjoy from a distance with you, Lowen!

Does it run? Maybe you'll be riding it to the thing this weekend?

Lowen, doesn't that make two hacks in your extended family now?

Wonderful news Lowen...I suppose a 1994 bike might be in order for the stable once the little one settles in?? BTW, congratulations on both additions!

Lowen, I remember how stressful it was with a young'un on the way so I think it my duty, as a fellow Texan, to help alleviate some of your distress.  Don't sweat the /6, just give it to me and I'll put up with all of the grief involved with getting it running, riding it, etc... ;D

Hey, Bro, just tryin' to help!  ;)  As close as you are I guess I need to take a look at it some time...  I think the only 59er I've met was Stu when I went over and looked at an R60 they were selling...

Don't know about that. Showing up once in the last year does not make one a club member.

This thread is useless without pics. [she giggles]

 [smiley=wink.gif]

I tellya... you and Scottyintex have hacks and I am JOANSIN for one now! Dagnabit! I don't think I could stand to hack the Blueberry, though, particularly since she's turning into an R65RS, nor do I want to hack the LWB R65 I just bought for parts. I'm thinkin' the KLR would be the one to hack. Pretty much like this one from a co near Seattle  http://www.dauntlessmotors.com/ :

(https://bmwr65.org/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dauntlessmotors.com%2FMountinghardware%2Fimages%2Fcustomsidecars%2Fklruralplatformlowrf9.2005.JPG&hash=307bfb1ec93d7912062741b16aaf0c39f728eee5)

Based on a modern Ural frame, of course. OH man.... I bet even Ken would go for a spin on that chair! Yeeehaaaaa! And think of all the fahrwood and beer I could haul! Wooooo!
