A very cool website sourced by airhead:
http://home.planet.nl/~motors-20th-century/motors.html
I linked to it on the "Lesser Makes" page, but everyone may not go there...
Too good not to share with the general board.

Damn. :( I tried a couple of times to access the page, but kept getting a message that "the server stopped responding". I'll try again later, though!

Hey, I finally got to look at the website, and it really is a good one, too! [smiley=thumbsup.gif] I especially liked the page with all the Moto Guzzis (and the page with the Triumphs, too)! Too bad they didn't have a pic of the R65 on the BMW page, but at least there was a photo of the LS! Thanks for posting this one, Rob! [smiley=clap.gif]

its not lettingme look at the full size pixs. they say i need to log in?
-
Well! That is new!
And he has removed his email address on 3 Feb due to spam...
Just have to keep checking back, I guess... :(

I just checked this out. Cool. I liked the Moto Guzzis too. If I didn't like my R65 so much I think a Moto Guzzi would be super to have. ;)
I didn't have any trouble at all looking at the full size pics of the BMW's, but there seemed to be some sort of error trying to look at the larger pics for the Moto Guzzis. :-? Guess I'll try back later and see what happens.

yes, most of the pages I tried worked (not Moto Guzzi...)
God I love this bike! (http://home.planet.nl/~jgtdalen/normal/Suzuki-Katana-1000-1982.jpg)

That looks like my kind of bike, Rob! I've always loved the Katanas... (https://bmwr65.org/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2F+http%3A%2F%2Fwww.smileyhut.com%2Fmisc%2Fdrool.gif&hash=44d5e730143c78a27cdd435936aa6d55eb4d7f68)
Just too tall like everything else... Oh woe is me... [smiley=nopity.gif]

I can't believe that thing is only one year newer than my R65. It's like a different universe.

I would like to get one of those Katanas and put a R100 engine in it!
Might be easier just to put the bodywork on a BMW, though...
