Title: Just wanna say I am here

I have been away for a week visiting friends back where I used to live. Little tired tonight as just got back. Missed out on probably the last good weather for riding albeit chilly with good frost in the mornings. I will be reading all the posts soon and getting back into the swing of things. I guess i have agreed to be the Chief President Honcho of our Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group, Grey-Bruce Section under duress mindyou. I am not a big joiner, let alone executive material, so will be a hands-off leader. I may be an Airhead and I was once an Oilhead..but Figurehead??I am NOT. But if they HAVE to have a President or go down the tubes, I'll stand in to save the boat.

Glad to see you here.  I figured you were off galavanting around.   ;D

Head Honcho, eh?  That will keep you involved.  It will be fun, you'll see.  All you have to do is be at the meetings, drink the beer and let everyone else do the work.   [smiley=beer.gif]

You are going to have a bit to catch up on here.  People have been posting like crazy.  This is the best forum format.  There's also a chat room.  It's not really attached to the forum exactly, but you can get there by looking at the locked sticky at the top of the very first section of the General Category.   We'll have to do a little chat sometime.

I wondered where you were.  Figured you must be off having fun somewhere.

Leadership can be whatever you make of it.  Just make it fun and don't worry about it!

Gee, it's just a little group of old bike lovers...maybe 35 real owners and spouses are additional. Meetings once per month and I get to read the agenda and welcome them while they munch on breakfast at a local restaurant. Even that makes me somewhat nervous but I guess it is character builidng? :-/

No one else was nominated ::) :'(
