They are approx $100USD new. eBay = $ ?
There are mounting points on the lower tree clamp & frame that it mounts to.
Have a look @ your bike & see if they are there.
I feel it helps slow the dive & rebound when cornering, also headshake @ higher speeds. Have not removed for testing without it.
My R100 does not have a dampner and will oversteer & track the road a little if not spot on with tire pressure. But any bike handles off when not set right.
I am sure others will have more to say about this. Do a search for damper was visited awhile back.

Do you have any problems with handling/steering now??
If not, don't waste your money, and in fact, if you do have problems sort them out and don't just hide them with a damper. They are only really needed to give temporary help when riding with ridiculous loads an the back etc on bad roads, or for helping with a sidecar attached.
If you're still hanging out to have one, there are from memory about three different types, a hydraulic and two friction types, which is this one? Send a link of the eBay so we can see. Also be wary of SH hydraulic units as they wear and lose ability to damp so are next to useless if worn/leaking.

Can't vouch for the usefulness or need for the damper itself, but your seller is rock solid.

If "Lamont" (Larry C. in Austin) says it works and will fit, then you can take that to the bank, and if there's any sort of problem he'll fix it immediately.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Yep.....go back a bit.......there was a good debate on steering dampers......pro and con. Like all things on cycles.........ask 10 people and get ten different opinions.........some love em’ some hate them...... decide what is best for you . Here is a picture showing where it mounts.
