I drained the fuel from the tank of the R65 I brought home. The PO said he put fuel stabilizer in the tank, but after a year, even though it didn't smell too bad ,I decided to drain it and start fresh.
The fuel looked good that came out no, particles of crud. But at the end when I sloshed the fuel in the right side of the tank to get it over to the left side.......thats when the water came out.(1-2 ounces) It had been laying over there for "who knows" how long. That would be the same with running bikes too, once you collect some water it will lay over there on the right side and eat your tank.
I think it would be a good idea for any one with an R65 to drain that fuel that gets trapped in the right side every once in awhile.

It would be a good idea to check the condition of the seal on the fuel cap .
After beng washed, or in rain, water can sit in the well area around the filler neck .
A good idea to check the drain tube for this area to see if it is clear .
