Title: Ball bearing in light/horn switch assembly
Post by: Sharky on April 22, 2019, 02:45:35 AM
Took my light/horn/indicator switch assembly off as part of my restoration and a little ball bearing fell out. Can anyone tell me how and best way to get it back in?

Patience, a dab of grease, a big plastic bag to hold all the parts and your hands while trying and a rehearsal of all the curse and bad language you know...

I only took the switch assembly off, then noticed the ball bearing, so do I need to dismantle it to get it back in?

I would look at the switch assembly real good, if the ball fell out, you may have broken plastic parts in the switch assembly .

I'm on my second replacement switch, desert heat here destroys plastic parts .

The switch for the headlight just moves up and down and you can’t get the switch to stay in place for low beam, high etc, so is that what the ball bearing does inside?
