Title: Champion spark plug boots
Post by: mrclubike on January 27, 2019, 05:58:39 PM
Getting kinda quiet around here so I thought I would talk about something

I found these Champion spark plug boots out of the UK
I thought they were kinda cool and they give the bike  a little bling  ;D
They are 5K resistor type

I am from the time when Champion plugs were the go to sparking plug and I still use them a lot But I have never seen the boots  before

Interesting.  I always make my spark plug wires with the NGK caps.  How much are these?  Never been a fan of Champion plugs but these boots look pretty slick.

Went for a Short 150 mile ride yesterday
I wanted to report there was absolutely no noticeable increase in power fuel mileage or better handling
They just worked as they were intended  ::)

But on a serious note
They did assemble just fine
They thread very securely onto the wire just like the NGK
And have a positive engagement with the spark plug

They offer this 5K cap in 2 types  with and with out the need for the spark plug nut
This one that I have needs the nut
PRO5U    requires the nut
PRO5M   requires the threaded stud (no nut)
