Anyone rebuilt Karcoma fuel petcocks?
Is it worth the bother?
Or should I buy new ones?
Also if replacing, any comments/experience with the Pingel fuel valves?
Pingel valves here:

Are you having problems with your fuel petcock ?
I was told don't mess with them unless they are leaking !
So far, after 27 years no leakage, and I turn the fuel off when I shut the bike off .

My experience it, rebuild kits cost AU$30 or so, complete taps are around AU$80. If the taps are in reasonable condition externally then a kit is probably the way to go, it's not fiddly or hard, but if the body is ratty.............. not much more and you have a new one. All depends on your economics.
Bill..........................;-)

I pulled them off to clean the filters & one has lost not only the filter/screen, but the stems as well. There is two little nubs where they should be.
The other is good except for the filter/screen was very clogged.
I casually cleaned it & reinstalled both.
I do not believe the fuel flow is very good.
I want to address the fuel system from tank all the way down to cylinders.
I have Stainless Steel Braided Teflon Lined "Earls" Fuel lines to install. And while I was contemplating the install I thought to inspect the fuel valves.
I know I need to remove the tank for a very thorough cleaning as my starting point.

I bought a rebuild kit from Bing; mine feels stiff sometimes and the detents are hard to feel. So that will be an upcoming project.
...I'm still waiting for the other page to load, with the other brand petcocks, as I want to see if they have any that would fit my Triumph.
