Title: Speedo problem

 Hi everyone .. I have a quick question regarding the glass cover on my speedometer .. It seems that the previous owner had removed the glass for some reason and attempted to put it back on with some kind of sealant . I plan to remove it clean off the old sealant and reinstall it properly . My question is what type of sealant should I use ?

They were originally sealed just by the rubber gasket but if I had to use a sealant I'd go for clear silicone sparingly applied.

Thanks Barry..someone else suggested wind shield adhesive.. That seems a little bit extreme ..
