what is dual plugging?!?!?! ive heard of it being done but i cant catch exactly what it is...

It's the process of machining another plug hole on the bottom of the head, directly opposite the existing plug. Another coil is required to fire it, though because of the space limitations, the plug is usually slightly physically smaller.
It improves the flame front and aids complete combustion, all but eliminating preignition.
Bill..................;-)

Dual plugging - A complete Waste of time unless you are going racing or have some weird fuel requirment. Forgetaboutit.
But if you can't leave well enough alone then go to the SnowBum Web site. I'm pretty sure he talks about it.

If you don't have a race motor about the only benefits I've heard of has been a bit quicker starting and being less prone to pinging (pinking for some of you...) since the timing is usually retarded slightly due to the quicker burn... My "garage ornament" has dual plugged heads but the PO had removed the necessary ignition components. Someday maybe I'll hook it back up...
