Title: /7 SEAT ON 82 R65
Post by: mrclubike on February 08, 2017, 10:01:58 PM
I installed a /7 seat on my R65
I got it from MOTOWORKS
It does fit well after you do some bending and adjusting of the hinges
The quality is OK especially for the price
The reason I did this is
I need a backrest
So the next step is to build a rear rack to mount a top box that will double as a back rest

It also is about 35mm taller than the  seat it replaced
But I don't   know how it compares to the OEM seat because I have never had one

Motorworks here in the U.K have a rack for that very application.

For some reason I am unable to copy/paste the link for you, the rack is advertised on their home page.

Bike looks compact with a single seat, I like the look[ch128077]

I have not seen a rack on MoWo that fits the R65

I made my own this weekend

I also put about 150 miles on the new seat this weekend and I can already tell it is more comfortable than the after market seat that it replaced  :)
I may not have to fool with my Airhawk cushion any more except for very long days in the saddle
