Hello;
A few days ago, I pulled the top of my carbs to install stiffer springs and put the needle on 3rd notch, I also switched the main jet to a 138 size.
So far so good. The bike runs perfect and its very pleasant going from 2000 RPM to the redline without holes in the curve !
The idle was perfect before and not bad after the change. When I had the carbs synchronized the idle started to be not so good. Not stable and varying a lot between cold and warm. To the point that the idle is at 300 RPM when hot.
I checked everything and found that the throttle cable between the handlebar and the splitter was fraying so i put a new one.
Since then the idle is worse and worse.
And I can't tame it.
So all the help I can get will be appreciated !
Help please ....
Thank you in advance.

Well, just an observation, everything was good before you changed parts .
I'd put the old springs back in and see what happens, the jet size won't have any real effect on this .

None of the changes you made should have caused an unstable idle including the stiffer springs which should more positively close the slides so I'd go back to base settings on the throttle stop and mixture screws and start over.

I assume you have ruled out Unstable base timing
How about a leaking float needle

Found it.
One of the return springs (choke lever) was broken. The choke was closing one time out of ten...
I've put a rubber band and ordered a new pair at the dealers. Will get them early next week.
Grrrrr it took me so much time to find such an evidence.
