...For the R100S from http://www.boxercafe.com/default.htm Product also fits the R45/65 series.
Quick service from this BMW specialist in Garfield, AR. How about that; a town named after a cat!
Very good quality with a fairly thick and slick gel coat so very little 'glass work required before prime and paint. West System of fabric and epoxy resins are well respected fabrication products.
As I have the San Jose fork brace on the "S", I purchased the Cafe Shorty w/o side mounts. Those Airheads with the OEM under-fender fork brace would use the fender with the side mounts.
Four coats of primer/surfacer with a flex agent, light sanding and then seven coats of black PPG acrylic enamel (AE). The AE flows out into thin coats so it's wise to lay on a few extra in case there is any color sanding required.
I've buffed off a couple damned dust demons that found their way onto the fresh paint. Will give the fender's paint a few more days to harden prior to mounting to the fork brace. As these AE paints continue to out gas for several weeks prior to full cure, no waxing until then as any wax will seal off the paint and may create problems as the remaining trace solvents cannot escape. I hate do-overs!
