I wanted to thank everyone that contributed and gave advice and guidance up to now. My bike is back from the shop. I chose to farm out the frozen flywheel issue which turned out to be a backed out and bent clutch bolt. I rebuilt the starter myself which was just right for my skill at this time.
I'm already in way too deep on the project but it's a learning process, part of the journey, and I'm getting to know my bike so all good.
Here are a few before and after photos of my recent headlight and turn signal project. When I got the bike it had a non BMW headlight and turn signals as well as left hand control switch for the signals. It has been a time consuming and satisfying project and I'm now ready to ride a bit.
I will post some better photos soon but clearly I'm headed in the right direction.
Thanks!
Raphael
