No one will be able to respond to your post in the FAQ section so I'll reply here.
Is it a straight forward procedure of loosening the 10 mm allen head bolt, turning the knurled ring until the desired firmness is obtained and re-tightening the 10 mm bolt? Seems easy and straight forward...too easy actually! Is it? Thanks Tony
Yes straightforward once that Allen bolt is loose. Can be bear to break free though as the torque is high and the large head adds additional friction. The top triple clamp bolts should also be slackened off to allow for the adjustment.
