Title: Fork seals 84 R 65

I replaced my fork seals a couple weeks ago first time ever wasnt to bad.
My question is I read" to drive the seal to where it is flush with the top of the slider so I did it that was on the right slider.When I did the left slider I rememberd after talking with Max BMW they said to drive the seal down to where it is bottoms out into the slider so I did that one that way.I put new rubber cups and felts.I notice the right seal  after riding a couple hundred miles might be leaking just a little cant really tell yet if its from me oiling up the felt.Im hoping cause I really dont want to tear it back down again anytime soon.

The oily dampness on the right-side slider is most likely the excess oil from the felts working it's way out. Anything like it on the left side? You did right by oiling the felts prior to installing them in their grooves.

And if the right-side fork seal is set just a bit high, it won't be by much. Yes, the seals should be carefully seated on the machined ledge inside the fork lowers.

Have you lifted the rubber cup and checked for any residual fork oil? If you used one of those colored fork oils, a white paper towel may answer your question. Maybe.
