Got a Air Hawk 1 Small Cruiser seat cushion today and will be trying it out tomorrow.
They aint cheap. $189.00 US
The Air hawk 2 is about half price but I didn't know that at the time I bought it.

From what I have read about them is that they work but let you rock from side to side in the saddle.
I will let you know tomorrow night how it works out.
Got a 300mile (500KM) ride planned tomorrow .

Rode my new Air hawk seat cover on my R65 over for over 300 miles and more than 6hrs in the saddle
You may be able to see in the photo my bike has had an after market seat cushion and cover put on it by one of the previous owners.
Short answer is I think it work very good. :)
My bumb was very Happy
Normally within an hour my but bones are getting pretty sore.
I have to start setting way back on to the wide part of the saddle to get some relief.
I didn't start getting any real discomfort with the cover installed until over 4,5 hrs of ridding an it still was very tolerable.
Like other reviewers have said you do rock side to side as you use your butt to transfer weight as you go thru the curves.
By the end of the day I was getting used to it
As I let more air out of it the rocking sensation got less noticeable.
If you are a hard core rider that really pushes hard thru the corners you may not like this at all.
The trick is to get the air down as much as possible without feeling the hard seat underneath.
It stayed in place very well.
As other reviewers have mentioned the bra straps they supplied to hold it in place look a little fragile. But could be easily changed out to something more robust.
The difference in the Airhawk and the Airhawk 2 is that the one is made of Neoprene (2yr warranty) and the cheaper Airhawk 2 is made of Polyurethane (1 yr warranty). Not sure this maters at all.
The company that originally made these (ROHO of Bellevile ILL
before they sold off this division) makes pads for the medical industry that may also explain the higher cost of the original Airhawk.
If I was only going 100 miles or less I would not fool with this but we have a 2000 mile trip out to the BMW national rally planned for this July and I had to figure something out be for we went.
Now I just need to install a set of RT bars.

By the way I discovered these by accident. We were at the St. Louis area BMW dealer and they had one setting on the counter and I picked it up and was looking at it but when I seen the price ($190.00 US) I almost choked. But after I thought about it over lunch and started thinking about the options and that it was made by a medical supply company. I had to give it a try.
I ended up getting it from Donelson Cycles
Plus I have been in the ROHO plant to work on their forklifts.

Not even a little bit. I understand that they may have a use where the saddle they are being put on is inadequate, I prefer to start with an adequate saddle and then top with either a sheepskin or a gel type pad that allows air circulation.
It has always been my belief that the money spent on something like an airhawk would be better applied to the saddle itself.
