Title: R65 Model

I want to order some parts for my '79 R65.  On the online parts website they want to know the model number of the bike.  Parts are different for different models.

Can anyone tell me where I might find the model number on the bike.  I believe this bike was originally purchased in Europe.

Get the serial number of the bike, you only need the last seven characters of the number .

Go to this site .
 
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select

Then enter your number in the serial number box and it will tell you if it's a European or US version bike .
