I'm currently focusing on the front mudguard, it comes in two parts, the main coloured guard itself and what appears to be a metal bracket or support that fits under the mudguard itself.
Mine is badly corroded and I struggled to get it off what bending it slightly. It really is in bad shape. I checked on real OEM and no part number, it seems to come as part of the mudguard itself.
Any ideas or did somebody come up with a great fix?
Appreciate the help, thanks
Chris

The metal part is the fork brace. Is it so bad you couldn't get it blasted and re-plated or painted. It is important though for minimising fork stiction that it fits well and doesn't put any stress on the fork legs.
I see motobins sell them separately and nice stainless steel ones at that but only for type 247 airheads. You can get a bit fed up continually reading (not R45/65).

I found this on RealOEM .

Max BMW shows it as available at $80

Just checked with the local dealer parts guy (very helpful). There are none here in the colonies but he said they are showing stock of 96 pieces in Germany, so it is still available to order.

They do come up occasionally on eBay usually around $30. I am stunned that BMW still has 96 of them - for a part that ceased to be used that is amazing.
Now if only they still had ignition switches, headlamps and accessory pods.

Thanks to all for fast response as always!!!!!
Cheers
