Hi-For those with pod filters, have you had intake problems when riding in heavy rain, or rain for long periods of time? I am just debating whether or not to undelete the airbox (put it back). I have been bringing the bike back from a botched cafe attempt a previous owner made. I ride in all weather and have not had a bike with pods and have heard of them getting soaked and clogged with water. I picked up a set of intake tubes that at least puts them under the seat and somewhat behind the engine. Thoughts?

I've been using pod air filters for a couple of years now. Living in Florida during the rainy season it is not unusual to have a storm pop up that drops 2-3 inches of rain in a couple of hours. I have been caught in some of these and never had an issue with the filters. Mine are right at the carbs. With yours tucked up over the gearbox I wouldn't think you would have a problem.

I ran, and am still running pod filters in the UK, where we are used to a little rain, and I have never had any issues. I.e. there is nothing to be worried about on that score. The pod filter detractors often like to back up their arguments with a little embellishment.......
That said, I would not recommend running the bike, whilst stationary, and directing a hosepipe jet at the pod filters just for fun.
Cheers
