Title: Brake pedal question...

Question...is it possible to adjust the rear brake pedal (drum-brake)? I can't seem to get enough purchase on it because my shin is up against the RHS carb intake...and i've adjusted the brake itself (at the drum) as close as i dare... :-/

What year is your R65 ?
Are you wanting to move the pedal "outward" or rearward ?
The pivot point on the post-81 models isn't really move-able, but one *might*
be able to make fairly small changes w.r.t.  rearward location.  I don't know if that metal
which the pedal is made of would be satisfactory to cut and reweld if one was to try to
shorten the pedal lever - Justin would have a better idea than I.   I had met one person
who had made the pedal wider (in the front) so that his foot could be pointed
more outward and still press the brake without running afoul of the carb - am
trying to recall how he did it...

This should probably be moved to the "technical" section by one of our esteemed moderators..

I have the same problem with the cone intakes installed on the R100. One thing I thought was to fabricate another lever. I thought a piece of flat stock steel bent & drilled appropiately should work. This would also enable lengthening the ear that your foot presses. I only hit about 1/4 of the pad most times, unless I consciously already have it covered.
Another idea that I had. Was to fabricate an S shaped tube to position the cones up out of the way. And use the airbox mounting points to fasten em in that great big area left by removing the OEM airbox. I figure a muffler shop could bend up the tubes.
I reinstalled the OEM airbox for now.
