Title: Bmw R65 1981 - solo seat

I think I have read most treads about solo seat for R65. It seems like a solo seat for /7 will fit the rear subframe for a 1980 bike.
Will the seat fit a 1981, which has a slighty different rear subframe?
I know I maybe have to lower the rear mudgard.

The only member that I remember installing the OEM solo seat, that was Rob Valdez, he had a '79 R65 and from what I can remember, the seat will not work on an '81 model year and later bikes, the subframe is different on the later bikes .

Don't know if you can make it work with modifications or not, I don't have the answer for that question .
