Title: 79 R65 Oil Pressure Switch Torque
Post by: Crossrodes on May 05, 2014, 04:03:09 PM
I'm just installing a new oil pressure switch.  Does anyone know what it should be torqued to when tightening?

Torque specification for the oil pressure sender switch is "gently snugged". Don't go all gorilla torque or something will strip. That something is $$$. ;)

Really. It'll be fine.

Just like a spark plug these sorts of switches are.  But if you really want to use a number, "gently snugged" is probably around 11ftlbs on oiled threads.  You can always add a little more torque if it leaks.
