Title: petrol tap!

just noticed , the black plastic cover on the tap can be turned by hand , is it not located by a lug or something or do they all do it?

I believe it is a friction fit, a small application of sealant should keep it in place .

There is a lock (sort of) to keep it in the correct position. It is broken on my indicator disc. Maybe you've got the same ?
