I didn't want to hijack Tony's resto thread, but wanted to show my driveshaft disassembly fixture. Worked like a charm! Altho that retaining ring was a PITA :P

That's great! Glad it worked out.
That V&H sticker is sad... People buy something, and if there is a sticker in the box, they feel they must put it somewhere.
-
K&N filters? ::) And stickers? That's what tool chests were invented for.
-
Smashing looking job, i hope Rev light is looking in to see how it should be done! Still lots more fun to be had when getting that circlip back in place ;D
-
Thanks Tony, it was easy to make once I saw your example.
Yes, the K&N stickers have to go!
So I saved myself the money on one tool, next I need to figure out how to get the swingarm bearings out. I don't trust my welding skills enough to use that method... Maybe a Dremel?

I used the Dremel on the steering head races, but I bought the tool for the swingarm. The guy that bought my leftover BMW stuff was happy to give me extra cash for my special tools.

I think I'll work on my welding skills, but may wind up ordering the tool ::)

I took my swing arm to my local Mcycles shop, he ended up cutting them out with a dremal and then charging me a few quid for it. So a dremal appears to be the way forward with these!

Tony I knocked up the one you used out of scraps from the garage.
It worked...End of.
Cheeky Git!
