Title: 82 R65LS Coil
Post by: jgp1854 on January 17, 2013, 08:30:51 AM
Getting ready to install a new dyna coil, is it recommended to use some "dielectric lube", on the spark plug wires going into the new coil?

Thanks

Yes, it makes it a bit easier to get the leads all the way into the coil .

Also, when you put the wires on, make sure the electrical hardware doesn't touch the steel laminate mounting, one of them is quite close .

I've put insulating tape on that connection .

The outboard most wire, needs to be pointing up, if you put it on with the wire coming out at a 90 degree angle from the coil, it will contact the fuel  tank .
