I wonder if an Avon Police fairing from a R60/7 will fit may R65 frame?
As far as I know the fairing mounts is a part on the crash bars.
The big question is is the 60/7 crash bars will fit may R65.
Do anybody know if the 60/7 frame is nearly identical to R65 frame?
Thanks

You should not have any real problems, people have put R100RS and RT fairings on R65s, before now. Funnily enough, another chap from the cold North of Norway did an RS.
Personally I am against encumbering the R65 with such things, but then, I do not live in Norway and I do not need to be riding my R65 in all weathers. So I would not put much store in my oppinion.

I need some weather protection. It is raining a lot in Bergen and the summer i quite cold. I could buy a well-used RT fairing from Germany.
But they are often in bad condition with cracks. I saw a Avon Police fairing and I liked the look and the price was acceptable.
But since the fairing was made for a /7 I am not sure if it fits my R65.
The R65 frame before 1985 is often referred to as smaller than the other R frames. Is it not only the sub frame that is shorter than the other R`s?
If the R65 frame itself has the same dimensions as /7 I hope the fairing will fit.
More good ideas?
Thanks for all help.

The frames have the same dimensions. No worries there!
I've heard the R65 crash bars are unique but have no idea why. Maybe they're shorter, or sit up higher? But I don't think that would pose a problem for you.

Hello !
as the R65 engine has a shorter stroke than the others, the barrels are shorter.
So if you put "plain" crash bars on an R65 they will protrude a lot.
If you plug, on contrary, R65 crash bars on another bike, they look very funny and useless as they are shorter than the engine...
