Used my homemade oil filled manometer today .
I have to say, that it worked great, compared to the Twinmax synchronizer I have been using .
I used BMW 7.5 wt fork oil, good contrast to the white .
One thing I did notice, after you make an adjustment, wait 30 seconds or so, otherwise, you'll be adjusting constantly .
Constructed it from scrap materials and hardware that I had accumulated at work .
If you make one yourself, use small diameter clear tubing, less oil used .

Another clear, sunny, warm day in the northern Sonoran desert .
Performed a carb synch on the '81 R65 as well .

It always amazes me how a home made manometer reacts to the smallest possible adjustment. Nothing is more sensitive.
Good to see you can still get things to grow in that climate Bob.

I, too, used "official" BMW 7.5 fork oil. The purple color looked pretty cool and was easy to see.
After a couple months, the fork oil lost it's purple. :(

ATF is a similar viscosity and bright red. Seems to hold it's color for years.(http://)
