ok, title says it all. I want to put a canyon or the like on my 65, but I can't get a straight answer, even from corbin, if the lwb (80/90/100) will fit. When I called corbin, they stated they have never had a 65 to check the tank.
I can't be the first to do this, what seat fits?

Corbin used to make seats for the dual shocked R65. Based on some emails I had with them several years ago, they don't make them anymore and have not made them for a very long time. They indicated that the seats made for the mono-shock were not the same.
I seriously doubt that seats for other R-models of the time would fit without some real modifications. The R65 dual shock had different frame dimensions than the other R-series bikes of the day. (I understand the mono-shock frame was the same size as the other R-series in its day - that may explain why they say a seat for the mono-shock R65 won't fit a dual shock bike).

I did a quick part number search and the numbers for the R80 and R100 bikes were different from the R65 part number .
Probably thr best way to go, is to have your seat redone in the style you want ,

I checked with Russell Day long two days ago. The will build a seat for an R65. I have to say that I have bought 2 seats from them in the past...one for a Honda GL1500 and one for a Honda GL 1800. They were both excellent seats (pricey though). Check their website, it will tell you what you have to do.

There's an ebay seller, hondaclassic31 who makes corbin style seats. Type - BMW Air Head R45 R65 Corbin style cafe racer seat unit. I haven't dealt with them personally, but they make a lot of seats. Based in Vietnam.

I don't suppose any of you cats has a lwb and swb that you could stare and compare seats or get a measurement or two would you?
