Title: the last jump before she goes again....
Post by: wiemer on July 08, 2007, 03:08:37 PM
Hi,

I have the tranny shimmed out now, it turns freely, AND I changed the rear main crank seal too, swapped the flywheel & clutch
components, from the engine with bad crankshaft, to the spare engine.

The rest should be easy, start in the morning, and PTTTWROAARRR in the evening.
I let it rest now: it is a nice feeling, and I want to keep it that way some weeks....

When she runs, I am going to measure oil pressure ASAP, because I do not know the history of the spare engine.
(Someone wrote R 65 OK in black marker pencil on the engine though [smiley=clap.gif])

wiemer.

Good luck Wiemer!  All of you folks doing tranny rebuilds, it really gives me the confidence to try it myself, someday.  Probably just find the proverbial spare box, and have at it. :)
