Title: lower instrument cover

I'm putting on my lower instrument cover which has been off for a long time. It doesn't seem to fit anymore. It's like it took on a shape of it's own while setting on the shelf .

has anybody heated one of these to make it more pliable? if so how much heat for how long. Thought I would toss it out there b4 I have a puddle of black goo in my oven.

Mine does that if I've had it off for a few weeks .

If it's sunny in the Inland Empire, just leave it out in the sun for an hour or two to soften it up a bit .

It's very sunny here today, nothing like your neck of the woods but I think setting on the roof of a dark car will get the job done.
