Title: Aftermarket gauge mount
Post by: Session101 on July 15, 2012, 05:04:52 PM
does anyone have or know of anyone that make an aftermarket gauge mount for the r65? i just tossed my headlight mount for some fork ones because they are cheaper and now my gauge mount isn't effective at all, so im looking for something aftermarket that will work well, any suggestions are welcome

BMW made an abbreviated mount for the top triple-clamp.
It holds the two instruments, the ignition switch and the dash panel.

I have one for sale for $25.  It has never been installed on a bike.  It does not have any of the special rubber and steel washers and steel spacers, though.
If you are interested, I hope you didn't toss it too far!  :)
I checked - those mounting bits ARE available from a dealer for not-too-much money.
