Title: Torquing Pinch Bolts

Do Pinch Bolts require a different approach when torquing them?

Which bolts are you referring to, the axle, or fork tube ?

Just tighten to the specified torque value and don't get concerned about it .

Only that you hold the bolt head still and turn the nut. Torquing the other way would not necessarily result in the same clamping force. Having said that to be honest I don't always torque them up. Having used the torque wrench on them once you can get an approximate feel for how tight they should be.  They are quite efficient at clamping the axle and don't need to be over tightened.

The fork tube clamps I always use a torque wrench as there are expensive threads at risk.

Thanks, I appreciate your responses.  

After just recently replacing the rear tire I noticed that the amount of stretch/elongation (best description?) was significant enough that the second application of the same torque value netted a significant movement of the wrench.  

I think my technique may have been a little rushed in this situation, and I think I should be especially mindful of going more slowly in the future.
