Title: Magura L-463-00 handlebars
Post by: jgp1854 on May 24, 2012, 12:34:41 PM
Need a little information on the Magura bars.  Can anyone tell me what the inside diameter is???  I trying to install some Napoleon (or other manufacturer) bar end mirrors on my LS.

Thanks

The Napoleons fit just fine. I know, cause I've used them.

Can't answer your question at the moment about inside diameter.

Napoleons fit just fine on the maguras. Just a warning, do not over tighten them as the rubber spacer that holds it in place may tear.

I've been meaning to find some of those split metal anchor bolts to refit/replace the rubber gizmos on my napoleons - less likely to bind up on the throttle tube, though the rubber mounting does help reduce vibration in the mirrors.

Know what you mean! I went to a bicycle shop looking for a seatpost/gooseneck style clamp in that size, but there's nothing that small. Guess I'll have to make some myself.

Mike, for a possible source for those metal, split tube/expanding anchors, head back to your local hardware store and check out the masonry anchor selections. Many different sizes of pot metal, threaded/expanding anchors. Might have something that will work for you and others.

Sorry, 'Spokes, but ain't seen anything -yet- big as a bicycle seat post. :-/
