Post by: cobra407 on March 07, 2012, 04:40:11 AM
I rebuilt my carbs and somethings not right. It idles just fine but around 2000 rpms it runs rough. Sounds likes its missing. At full throttle it will eventually pull nicely.

Symptoms point to the midrange circuit i.e. the needle jet and needle. Any chance the needles could have been put back in a different slot than before ?  Counting which slot they are in as you remove them is not always reliable. I measure the exposed length of needle before and after to be sure.

How did you clean the carbs, there still may be some curd in the passagaes. I have had the same thing happen. Using spary can carb cleaner doesnot always clean everything out. Soaking in cleaner in normaly the best.
