I can't remove my speedometer needle.
I already removed the three screws at the back and the two screws in the front. Should the needle be just falling out?
-
Problem solved. :D
The gears on both odometers(The total mileage and the reset-able one )
Shouldn't slip right?
Just confirming... It's quit hard to un-super glue things. ;D

The needle won't just fall off. But be careful, it's extremely delicate!
The main odometer gear is the one that tends to slip - a pot metal gear buried deep in the mechanism.

during reassembly, be sure to clean the gears (all that you can get at anyway) of any old, dried up lubricant if you see any. The worm gear and main gear drive are usually lubricated with a pure parafin grease, those I suppose a light lithium grease might also suffice. I use a grease designed for lubricating clocks, speedos, etc. Just a little dab but make sure it gets into the teeth - don't want to run these things dry as they wear faster that way. You want to use a grease (so it stays on there) instead of an oil (which will not).
